HOW TO INSTALL YOUR POP UP SPRINKLER SYSTEM (MDPE pipes)/ WATER IRRIGATION SYSTEM

In this video we show you how to plan and install your pop up sprinkler system using MDPE Compression Fittings and MDPE water Pipes.

First, I give you an overview of my pop up sprinkler system showing you the water tank, pump, solenoid valves, timer and pop up sprinkler watering zones. I then talk you through the different ways you can lay out your individual watering zones and how not to do it. Next, I direct you to our video “Pop up sprinkler components (MDPE)” to help you understand and select your water irrigation components. This will enable you to design your system by drawing your plan for your watering zones and listing all your components that you will need to purchase.


I then walk you through the system showing you the MDPE pipes, fittings, liners and how I have staked the pop up sprinkles prior to installing underground. I explain how you can determine the number of sprinklers that you can run on your system and the distance that they would need to be apart. This will dependent on your water source which produces the pressure (bar) in your system and the water flow rate (litres/ min) ie the amount of water that can flow through your system.


Lastly, I perform a test of the system to demonstrate how the pop up sprinkler system should work. The system should always be installed above ground and tested prior to digging trenches and burying everything underground. Remember to check for leaks before filling the trenches.


There's nothing more satisfying than sitting back and watching your pop up sprinklers appear out of the ground when you fire up your system. Pure Joy!!
